That is why I've decided to give up a few of my ideas to the public so you can try to write it. Some of these novels I actually completed before realizing I'd done a bad job, some I never finished.
If you choose an idea to try, please say so in the comments so I can note that for future readers. Feel free to spin off of these ideas with your own names, titles, ideas, etc, of course--that's what being a writer's about. Additionally, if you, as a novelist, have ideas to give up, add them in the comments, and I may pull them up here for people to take.

Far from being subservient, cats are actually more intelligent than humans and were placed for convenience in human homes. However, the cats now want to take over, and it’s up to a group of cats and children to find a way for both species to live in peace.
When a relationship gone wrong forces [main character] to move to a different high school/college, she takes out her feelings on the destruction of her relationship and her broken views of love by becoming "the other woman", determined to break up the relationships around her and find some love in her own life. [romantic lead], however, becomes her friend despite his anger towards her actions, and shows her that there's another way.
The Perfection Guild
YA speculative fiction
[main character] is a member of a secret society of perfect people, who have been running the Earth for centuries. He knows what is expected from him as a member of the Perfection Guild--a perfect life, a perfect wife, and a perfect legacy--and he has every intention of doing it. But then he meets [romantic lead], who is far from perfect but catches his attention anyway. Now everything suddenly seems... wrong.

Two friends for years realize something is wrong when they listen to lyrics of songs backwards, and hear secret messages from singers a begging listeners to save them from the conspiracy that keeps them locked up, prey to Hollywood’s whims.
