Fourth Grade -- February 25th, 2004
My brother Michael broke my sewing needle but I found a pen and my recorder. In a response to a writing prompt, I referred to how I'd felt scared and happy at my baptism into the LDS church a couple years back.
Fifth Grade -- February 25th, 2005
Apparently, it was a "perfect" day, but I don't elaborate.
Sixth Grade -- February 25th, 2006
*No entries for a couple weeks*
Seventh Grade -- February 25th, 2007
On this Sunday, I didn't have much to say, except that the Friday previous had been bad.
Today, as usual, I stalked my crush throughout the day. We started SBA testing and I helped a friend study on the bus. Thought a lot about how I was getting contacts soon and how excited I was. We practiced hard in Orchestra for the ASTA Festival and a girl in PE told me that she had the same shirt as me but it looked better on me, which made me feel slightly uncomfortable.
Ninth Grade -- February 25th, 2009
I was recovering from being sick, apparently quite dizzy, and was very grumpy at how few people cared that I was back at school again. Also upset because an agent had rejected me.
Tenth Grade -- February 25th, 2010
I went through school as usual, with some vague stalking of my crush again. Lots of writing and reading. There was a fire drill at one point, and my hip was having a lot of trouble with the fibromyalgia. Us LDS kids were given cards to invite people to a lesson thing, which I didn't do, but one of the guys was giving them out to all his "friends" and they kept ripping them up, which was really sad.
Eleventh Grade -- February 25th, 2011
I got a really bad sore throat today and had to stay home, which was extremely upsetting for me because I was supposed to be going on my first date, finally, and so I sat around and watched Harry Potter and was depressed, and I wrote this long sad thing about how clearly I was not meant to live an epic life but to sit on the sidelines instead.
Twelfth Grade -- February 25th, 2012
Today I went to Adams State's "Discovery Day" to prepare to attend the next year. Though very stressed out by the general discovery-like activities, I did like the school the same as I had every other time I went. I auditioned at the music department with cello and voice and was told that if I declared music as a major instead of a minor, I would get a scholarship. So I spent the rest of the day trying to decide what to do with my life.
Freshman College -- February 25th, 2013
Now officially at Adams State, I woke up excruciatingly grumpy and the first couple of pages of the entry here are mostly the word "no." I took a nap after my first class, though, and felt somewhat better. I stumbled my way through the rest of the day, was grateful for the existence of my friends, did enjoy working on my editing job, practiced for a cello concert, and very gladly went back to bed.
Sophomore College -- February 25th, 2014
Now at BYU-Idaho, I went through a regular schoolday. I wrote the script for a Lit project where we were filming an adaptation of a short story, most of which appeared in the text of my journal because I totally do my homework in class all the time, and then did a lot of other work. Worried a bit that overeating may have become a replacement compulsion for my self-mutilation. Then I spent the evening watching Supernatural, which I did a lot that year.
