Today, because my next "Waiting On" Wednesday does not yet have a cover, I'll be doing the Seven Deadly Sins of Reading Tag, as seen here.
GREED: What is the most and least expensive book on your shelves?
I have honestly no idea, since I get most of my books as gifts. Which I guess means they're all the least expensive, LOL, at least for me!
WRATH: What author do you have a love/hate relationship with?
I'm on pretty good terms with most the authors I read, except for James Patterson, whom I strongly dislike. I don't think I have a mixed love/hate relationship with any of them.
GLUTTONY: What book have you devoured over again and again?
I do a fair amount of rereads. The series with the most rereads for me is, unsurprisingly, Harry Potter, but the series I've reread the most often recently is Renee Ahdieh's The Wrath and the Dawn Duology, which is definitely delicious.
SLOTH: What book have you neglected to read because of laziness?
I don't know if "laziness" is exactly the right term, but after multiple attempts, I continued to struggle with both Lord of the Rings (I finally forced my way through the first book, and decided not to bother with the other two) and Inkheart (still have never finished.) The first one I disliked because of excessive description; the second, I'm not entirely sure what the issue was, though I know the character names bugged me a little. I liked the movie!
PRIDE: What book do you talk about in order to sound intellectual?
I don't really do that. If someone's gonna be a book snob, then they can leave me be. I'm happy with my YA/children's lit faves.
LUST: What attributes do you find most attractive in a character?
Well, looking at my bookish crushes, I'd say I'm mostly a fan of really sweet, devoted men, although physical attractiveness and a bit of swagger will also carry you far.
ENVY: What books would you most like to receive as a gift?
Right now, I think S.J. Kincaid's Insignia Trilogy is at the top of my list. I'm definitely due for a reread.
Fun and quick! Fill it out yourself, if you'd like, and I'll see you again Tuesday.
