Back when I was on Goodreads, I discovered that the answer is actually Ann M. Martin, whom I've read over 90 books from. I really liked Babysitters Club when I was younger, okay? But in terms of authors I still occasionally read, it's Meg Cabot, at a whopping 29 books read. That surprises me, although it shouldn't. I mean, I have read an awful lot of her stuff!
Hmm. This is a bit hard. Let's see. Ah. There are so many series out there where I loved a later book more than a former! Like Point Blank from the Alex Rider series, or Nightrise from the Gatekeepers series, or the third and sixth and seventh Harry Potters, or Catching Fire... It's always a good sign when I like a sequel even more, I think, because it shows the series has real longevity.
I am very slowly, in my free time, making my way through the second book in Maggie Stiefvater's Raven Cycle, The Dream Thieves. Awesome book, really.
Drink of Choice While Reading
The drinkish kind. Lemonade? Chocolate milk? Something like that.
E-books or Paper Books
I will always pick paper, but e-books are also useful and have their place. I do have a Kindle.
Fictional Character You Would Have Dated in High School
Harry Potter. See my book snobbery post.
Hidden Gem Book
I wrote a post on a lot of these, and there are really so many out there. My pick for this, though, will probably always be The Host by Stephenie Meyer. Because it's SMeyer, lots of people automatically pass over it, but it is a legit book. I love it so much.
Important Moment in Your Reading Life
.. when I learned how to?
...what is the last book I finished. I don't know. Even though it's only Day 6, I feel like I've been NaNoing forever. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm oh yes! The last book I finished was The Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa.
Kind of Book You Won't Read
I'm still easing myself very slowly and unwillingly into adult fiction. I don't read erotica or LGBT, per my morals, and I don't like stuff with lots of sex and all, for the same reason. I'm not a big historical fiction person, either, but I give it a try when a big new one comes out.
Longest Book You've Ever Read
Oh, well, probably this one. Well, and the Bible, but, you know.
If I get a book hangover, I'll talk about it on here.
Number of Bookcases You Own
One. I want more very badly. In fact, my rich splurge, someday, is to have a secret library, like, behind a bookshelf, there will be a room with even more bookshelves. Yes.
One Book You Have Read Multiple Times
All of the books I love have been multiply read, but if we're picking one I'd say The Giver by Lois Lowry.
Preferred Place to Read
ALL OF THE PLACES!
I regret my book snobbery. I also regret that there's not more time and more chances to read. There are so many good books in the world!
Series You Started and Need to Finish
I read books as they come out. Like, all of the books. Okay, not all of the books, but a lot of them. Listing the series for which I am waiting for endings would take forever.
Three All-Time Favorite Books
Um, Wuthering Heights, The Giver, and Shatter Me? (My actual favorites are the Harry Potter and Hunger Games series, but I thought I'd try something slightly newish here.)
Unapologetic Fangirl For
See the above, and also Doctor Who.
Very Excited for This Release
Oh, there are so many... so many books... um... I'm looking forward to the next book in the Missing series by Margaret Peterson Haddix, coming sometime in 2014, along with her very near release of Full Ride. I'm looking forward to the next Lunar Chronicles book by Marissa Meyer, Cress, in February. I'm very very hopeful for the last book in the Shatter Me trilogy by Tahereh Mafi, Ignite Me, which will be released the day of Cress. The third book in Neal Shusterman's Unwind series was just released last month, UnSouled, and I'm waiting for the fourth book when that eventually comes out. OH! And the final book in The Selection trilogy by Kiera Cass, The One, which is coming out in May 2014.
Geez. I just like books.
When I said I'd read anywhere... I meant it. I read in the shower, which is bad for books, I read while I'm eating, which is bad for books, and while I'm drinking. I'm awful at taking care of books, I really am. I'm just so focused on the story the actual print doesn't matter to me.
X Marks the Spot: Start on Your Top Left Bookshelf and Pick the 27th Book
From the Warriors series by Erin Hunter, we have the fourth book, Rising Storm.
Your Latest Book Purchase
I think Oblivion by Anthony Horowitz, the last book in the Gatekeepers series.
I stay up late at night for almost any book I happen to be reading at the time. It's best if I get my reading done earlier in the day, LOL.
