So today, I'm going to give my reaction to both Catching Fire, which came out in theaters yesterday, and the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special, which premiered today!
First, I'll review Catching Fire using that beautiful thing known as words. Brief review, no spoilers--it was super intense and powerful, and I think very well done. I cried a lot more than I'd expected to, and I appreciate Johanna Mason in particular a lot more than I did in the books. There were a couple things I didn't love (too much of Gale and Plutrarch), but on the whole, great movie. Really great.
I'm gonna die when Mockingjay comes out. No joke. I don't know if I can handle the, um, Peeta issue.
Now, for Doctor Who, seeing as there's no book or anything to preview it, I'm going to use a gimmick my friend Julia did when The Dark Knight Rises came out. I'm going to show you my reaction in pictures. I took pictures of myself ("selfies"--word of the year!) throughout the premiere, and I'm gonna post them here. I hope you enjoy this as much as I'm going to!
Doctor Who Reaction
In summary, it was awesome, but I'm still going what? I need some more context, I think. I'm watching it again right now in fact! And I'm looking forward to more episodes!
All right. Thanks for reading and I hope you get the chance to check them both out and give your own reactions. Next time, I'll be posting 25 reasons to do NaNoWriMo, for you to share with people when it comes around next year. See ya!
