Hello all, and welcome to another "on this day in my history!" Let us go back in time, through my plenteous diaries, and see what happened to me throughout my life on the Ides of March, starting in 2006.
March 15th, 2006, 6th Grade
The majority of this entry was about music class, where we were prepping for this musical about ancient history. We also did some debate in GATE class, found out one of the teachers was pregnant, and everything else went normally.
No March 15th entry in 2007.
March 15th, 2008, 8th Grade
I obsessed about the guy I liked, and did the usual school stuff. In health, we learned about weight, and I realized that I was getting close to an overweight BMI, which sparked me making a plan about how to not be fat. At lunch, the guy I liked obsessed loudly over his chin hair. "Einstein" came to our science class, and in journalism class, I dealt with a bunch of guys who were mad at me and each other (because they all apparently had crushes on me). I had my first cello lesson with a new teacher.
March 15th, 2009, 9th Grade
I did some work on PERISHED.
March 15th, 2010, 10th Grade
We had a two-hour snow delay, during which my cat Angel tried to murder me. Then I went to school. We watched Spider-Man in Spanish, and I thought it was pretty cool, except there were too many screaming women. I mused some about my current pain meds and what was up with that. My best friend was home sick, which was sad.
March 15th, 2011, 11th Grade
I missed my morning religious class because of the fibro, and mused about the connection between body and mind and what happens when your body gives out on you. I spent orchestra obsessing about getting stuff perfect for an upcoming performance. Then one of the violists made fun of how far apart me and my stand partner sat, which was embarrassing. I had a choir concert that night, which went well.
March 15th, 2012, 12th Grade
In poetry class, we went over sonnets, and then I spent my free period watching a ton of Hunger Games related videos as well as writing more PERISHED. I got close to the climax.
March 15th, 2013, Freshman Year of College
I was on Spring Break from college and worried about the nightmares I'd been having. I spent all day obsessing over THE PROPHECY KEEPER and how to make the main character a more active and appropriate hero. I was quite upset about the whole thing.
So there's history of the Ides of March, via my life. Any thoughts of your own? How have you progressed through the years? Thanks for reading, and I'll see you next time for a post on corrupted innocence.
