Hello all! Today, I thought I'd try out something new, where I use my plenteous diaries to back in time and see what happened to me throughout my life on certain special days. This installment is the Ides of March! (Hail Caesar.)
March 15th, 2000, Five Years Old (Kindergarten)
"I TEACH My BROTHER SCHOOL STUFF." There's an accompanying drawing.
No March 15th entry in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, or 2005.
March 15th, 2006, Eleven Years Old (Sixth Grade)
The majority of this diary entry was about music class, where we were prepping for a musical about ancient history. We also did some debate in GATE class, and my best friend LaPriel told me one of the fifth/sixth grade teachers was pregnant.
No March 15th entry in 2007..
March 15th, 2008, Thirteen Years Old (Eighth Grade)
It was a Saturday. In my diary, I obsessed about the guy I liked and made some weight loss plans. I spent the day eating, reading, watching TV, and planning my birthday party. I read Raven's Gate by Anthony Horowitz for the first time.
March 15th, 2009, Fourteen Years Old (Ninth Grade)
It was a Sunday, and I wrote some of #ChosenFourStory.
March 15th, 2010, Fifteen Years Old (Tenth Grade)
We had a two-hour snow delay, during which my cat Angel attacked my feet. On the bus, a random guy sat by me and talked about his science experiment and iPods, which was weird but okay. We watched Spider-Man in Spanish, and I thought it was pretty cool, except there were too many screaming women. In creative writing, I mostly hung out on Write It online. I spent chemistry class worrying about my nose and being bored. I mused some about my pain medications for the not-yet-diagnosed fibromyalgia. LaPriel was home sick, which was sad. In English class, the teacher lectured us about feet for some reason, and at home, I watched the Sonny with a Chance season premiere.
March 15th, 2011, Sixteen Years Old (Eleventh Grade)
I missed my before-school church-sponsored religion class because of the fibromyalgia, which led to me musing about the connection between body and mind. I took a hard test in pre-calculus, and in AP Lang, we studied parts of The Grapes of Wrath. We had a lab in biology while I tried to stay awake and then had an awkward discussion about genetic drift in isolated populations--like, for example, a biology class that somehow ended up on a desert island.. Then I spent orchestra obsessing about getting stuff perfect for an upcoming performance. One of the violists made fun of how far apart me and my standpartner sat, which was embarrassing. That night, I had a choir concert, which went well.
March 15th, 2012, Seventeen Years Old (Twelfth Grade)
I struggled some to get up for my religion class. Once I was there, I talked with LaPriel about how the guy I liked (my standpartner) had asked me how to best ask his crush to Prom. (Yikes.) We learned about sonnets in poetry class, and then I spent my free period watching a ton of Hunger Games-related videos as well as writing some #PsychicDystopiaStory. I complained about different choir directors and appreciated the glory of spring. At home, I wrote more of my book and got close to the climax.
March 15th, 2013, Eighteen Years Old (Freshman Year)
I was on Spring Break from college and worried about the nightmares I'd been having. I spent all day obsessing over #ProphecyStory and how to make the main character a more proactive and appropriate hero. I also got a haircut and read a book.
