Okay, well, some kind of weirdness is going on with my bout of strep. I guess the antibiotics aren't working? IDK, though. I'm planning to call urgent care again on Monday and see what's up. In the meantime, here's an update on my life, as told through a series of "-ing" verbs!
Eating: a waffle with maple syrup and scrambled eggs, courtesy of my mom
Drinking: water with Miralax (yay IBS)
Wearing: a teal half-sleeve dress
Smelling: nothing in particular
Reading: Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor
Writing: this blog post, and not a whole lot else
Listening: to my brother's cat yowling at anyone who walks by
Earworming: (not a verb? too bad, it is now) "Havana" by Camilla Cabello
Watching: Star Trek: Voyager, among other shows
Bookmarking: most recently, Time's Baby Name Predictor
Playing: Murder in the Alps, among other Android games
Looking: for an answer as to the white spots that keep reappearing in my throat
Wanting: energy to work on CUCUY more
Wishing: November weren't passing so fast
Waiting: for Thanksgiving, I guess?
Deciding: nothing important, at the moment
Disliking: this annoying, ibuprofen-resistant headache I've had for a few days now
Admiring: cats' ability to constantly nap
Enjoying: pretty much all the aforementioned media
Loving: my cat
Hoping: I can stay on top of things
Wondering: what I'm going to be able to eat for Thanksgiving
Pondering: why my gums stopped bleeding after I took the antibiotics for strep
Thinking: about the nature of toxic masculinity
Noticing: how very sore I am
Marveling: at how persistent this strep is
Knowing: that I don't actually know how long I've had it
Needing: nothing in particular right now
Following: most recently on Twitter, Samira Ahmed
Buying: a birthday present for my BFF
Getting: real tired of my body messing with me
Feeling: you know, sick
So that's the latest! In the Thanksgiving spirit, I'll be back next week with a list of what I'm grateful for this year. See you then!
