Sorry for skipping out again! I've been suffering from pleurisy this week (it's not serious, just painful). But today, I feel good! Which is always a bittersweet moment, because I'm psyched to be able to do all the things I want to and be productive and stuff, but then I feel like I've missed out on so much while I was sick, y'know? It's like, why can't I just feel this way all the time? I could accomplish so much! But c'est la vie.
It's time for "Waiting On" Wednesday! This is a feature begun by Breaking the Spine, in which bloggers share an upcoming book about which they are very excited. So here's the next yet-to-be-published YA from the top of my TBR list!
THREE DARK CROWNS
Releases 20 September 2016 from HarperTeen
In every generation on the island of Fennbirn, a set of triplets is born: three queens, all equal heirs to the crown and each possessor of a coveted magic. Mirabella is a fierce elemental, able to spark hungry flames or vicious storms at the snap of her fingers. Katharine is a poisoner, one who can ingest the deadliest poisons without so much as a stomachache. Arsinoe, a naturalist, is said to have the ability to bloom the reddest rose and control the fiercest of lions.
But becoming the Queen Crowned isn’t solely a matter of royal birth. Each sister has to fight for it. And it’s not just a game of win or lose... it’s life or death. The night the sisters turn sixteen, the battle begins.
The last queen standing gets the crown.
