People generally either hate or love Steven Moffat, the current head writer for BBC TV shows Doctor Who and Sherlock. I'm on the love side, and, because he's one of my writing idols, I want to list his strengths and weaknesses and talk about why I think they make him a brilliant writer.
Honestly, Moffat has some incredible raw skill, the kind that you don't find every day. I admire him despite his imperfections because I believe his strengths are more important. I also believe that he will overcome his weaknesses with practice.
Before I go, I'd like to list a few of the brilliant ideas that he's worked with in the past.
